Yesterday I was out shopping for tires for my 2001 Hyundai Accent GL. I always buy what I consider good tires - around a 50,000 mile tire. Does anyone have a strong opinion on Toyo Tires versus Bridgestone Firestone. Both brand of tires are 65,000 mile tires. The cost for two tires (lifetime rotation, balancing, and fixing of flats)plus taxes is right at $135.00. I talked with the manager. He was very nice and diligent, without being goofy. The store (privately owned) was well organized and nearly spotless (this always tells me a lot about a business).

Interesting note - the cost of the same Toyo tire down the street at a chain store was $50.00 more!

I have used Discount Tire for many purchases and have not been disappointed. My last purchase I found cheaper at a local company. I called Discount and they beat the deal by $30. Just be persistent.
