Last week my husband and I were in Las Vegas where we rented a car to do some sightseeing.  After driving all over southern Nevada all week and it was time to refill the gas tank, we put in 5 gallons to top it off.  I like that idea!

Other than the gas mileage and being fuel efficient, what are the other good things to owning a Prius or any other hybrid vehicle?  What are the bad things?  How much does it cost to replace a battery and how do you go about recharging the batteries?  The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was the lack of storage in the trunk.

What do you say about the other hybrid vehicles?

texie, the prius uses its braking system while you're driving to recharge the batteries...the batteries are expensive to replace but since the prius has been on the market i haven't heard the carguy mention a single case of anyone having to do that....

the ford focus hybrid is doing really well...as far as all the pros & cons, email the carguy: jerry@carguyshow.com

Please do Texie.  hybrids are great and most come with an 8 year/100,000 mile warranty on the batteries.  They have been indestructible so far!
