Right now I am in loaner that the dealership provides. Of course this is the orginal loan from when the vehicle was orginally in the shop for a/c issues (4th) time in 3 months. Not the issue anymore.

Last Friday the tech took my vehicle home and on the way back Saturday morning he was rear end (hit and run, according to the dealership) and it totaled my car.

This past saturday went to look a some options and the best deal the
Dealership was willing to offer was cost of the vehicle of out choice minus whatever the insurance company is willing to pay for my car. Of course I had clear title on my vehicle and i do not want a car payment.

Communication between me and the dealership has changed. Up to this point the dealership had always kept me informed of the progress and exactly what was going on, now I "feel" like there is no communication and the dealership has taken the position to just wait until they can find a vehicle like mine and then use that vehicle to replace it for mine, but who knows how long that will take.

I have gently worked my way up the ladder but after visiting with the 3rd or 4th in command I just feel like I should grab my ankles and hang on.

I am looking for sound advice not "off the cuff I deserves". I really like this dealership and have been a customer for more than 15 years. I am not trying to take them down, I just want to feel like a client again and be put in a car that is as nice as mine without having to actually have a car payment again.

Actually, I am returning the loaner car today because I just feel like this is going no where, they have let another day go by without contacting me regarding anything, so I guess I should begin to prepare myself for something.

Thank you

Rick,

Sorry about your troubles with the dealership.  They should replace your car with at least as good a car as you had.  I assume that either your insurance company, their insurance company, or the person's that ran into your car is paying for your car.  You have no obligation to buy from the dealership that you bought the car from.  Sounds like they are viewing it as another "sale" opportunity, nothing more.  It doesn't sound like they are trying to go the extra mile for a good customer.

Email me at jerry@carguyshow.com.  Tell me which insurance company is paying, what kind of car and mileage it was, and what dealership you were dealing with.

We can get this handled ASAP.

Let us assume that either your insurance company, their insurance company is paying...
