Should I use synthetic, a blend or standard oil?

Ken,

If you go to a Ford dealer, you'll get a Motorcraft synthetic blend which I really like and would recommend.  What area are you in?

I think Carrollton will be closest, go to Five Star ford, ask for Clay Young in service.  he'll take GREAT care of you!

If yer gonna use synthetic...lots of folks like to see a vehicle's
engine get good and "broken in" before going this route.

That probably means waiting till 10,000 to 15,000 before switching
and when you do, Amsoil has beaten all other synthetics in tests
done by independent labs.

They even had to prove this to keep their trademark,
which is "First in Synthetics" cause one of their competitors
tried to challenge this in court and make stop using it, but
they were able to prove their product tests better than their
synthetics competitors so they get to continue using this
trademark

Honestly, the brand or type of oil in a non-high-performance car is not that important. What is important is to change your oil and filter regulary (ie. at 3k-5k miles). I have read that the Ford synthetic blend is a great oil. I prefer either Ford's or Pennzoil from DFW Kwik Kar locations. I use Pennzoil Platinum in my Mustang GT and will be using conventional Pennzoil in my 2008 Edge.
